Welcome!

You have discovered our online classroom and we have lots to share with you!  Your third grader will be very busy this school year.  We encourage you to come back and check this site often - let's make it a GREAT year!

Third Graders at Woodside Show RESPECT

Picture
Our #1 goal at school is to LEARN.  In order to achieve our goals, we practice respect.
Respect yourself.
Respect each other.

Respect your learning.

Classroom Rules & Logical Consequences

Picture

Classroom Rules

1.) We will put things where they belong and have an organized classroom.
2.) We will show respect by caring about each other and using manners.
3.) We will follow directions so we can focus on learning and have fun.
Logical Consequences
1.) "You break it, you fix it." (Students are expected to fix what they break - feelings too!  "Broken" feelings can be "fixed" through apology of action.)
2.) "Abuse it, lose it."          (Loss of privilege)
3.) "Take a break."             (Mind, Body, Breath - take a moment, removed from the group to prepare for learning - clear mind, safe body, calm breath)
4.) "Buddy Teacher"           (Removal from classroom - silent visit with buddy teacher to regain control)

Woodside Behavior Documentation Form

Picture
Woodside Behavior Documentation Forms are used to communicate unsafe or inappropriate student choices with families.  Teachers and staff complete the forms following student incidents and send a copy home with involved students.  While behaviors may range in severity, the intent of the form is to keep families informed.  It is our school policy to track behaviors in order to help students learn how to make safe, appropriate choices.  If you have questions about the use of behavior documentation forms, please contact one of the following people:
Mr. Dedek
Mr. Lajoie
Mrs. McGlauflin
Mrs. Eaton

Woodside School Song
Written by Mrs. Bush

Picture
At Woodside School
We're models of success for all to see
Learning is our job right now
And practice is the key

Now practicing will take some work
Good habits we will form
Independent learning
Here at Woodside is the norm

Chorus:
Oh, here at Woodside school
We learn to show control
We practice hard and don't give up
We always say can do

Yes, here at Woodside school
We are responsible
We do our best and show resect
At Woodside school
